People have asked, "Why Aspen Trail?" Aspen trees are incredible. A group of Aspens are called a colony and are formed from one continuous expanse of roots. They are considered to be the largest living organism on earth. The leaves are aerodynamic to reduce wind damage. The bark is photosynthetic, which means that growth can occur without leaves being present. The human family is much like the Aspen tree. We grow together and, if we learn how to connect, we form greater resilience to trauma and pain. We grow even when it would seem impossible to take in light.
What about the trail? Each of us have a unique trail we must walk, run, or cycle through. Happiness is not getting to the end of the trail. Happiness is found in this moment, right now while we are on the trail. Are you trying to find the trail? Do you think you need to be on a different trail? Do you feel like it's too late to build the right trail? We'd like to help you find joy on the trail you are on and learn to connect to your own human family.
Our focus is to help individuals, couples, and families heal and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral space, both in therapy sessions and group session, listening to your concerns, and encouraging you to find the part of you that needs to speak and be heard. As you heal, we also teach you how to hear others and learn to listen deeper so you can better understand how to connect.
